Russ August & Kabat won an affirmance of a post-judgment order exonerating its appeal bond from the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District for client American Rag. The case was argued by Russ August & Kabat attorney Nathan D. Meyer. The appeal involved the scope of a surety’s obligation in connection with bonding an appeal, discussed by Southern California Appellate News here. The Court of Appeal affirmed the ruling and held the surety’s obligations were limited the express monetary judgment on the face of the original judgment. Read the Opinion.

Russ, Ammunition Hill, one of the most sacred military sites in Israel’s history, left crumbling for years, is a now a gleaming attraction that helps tell the dramatic story of what happened there during Israel’s victory in the Six-Day War.
