C. Jay Chung specializes in intellectual property and litigation. Mr. Chung has litigated complex patent infringement cases involving a variety of technologies, including digital video recorders, DRAM, NAND Flash memory, and medical devices. Mr. Chung earned his law degree from Loyola Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude and as a member of Order of the Coif and St. Thomas More Law Honor Society. While at Loyola, Mr. Chung was the Technology Editor of the Loyola Law Review. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.
Nathan D. Meyer’s practice focuses on general litigation and intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on general business litigation and soft IP. His experience includes copyright, apparel, contract and real estate litigation. Mr. Meyer is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Harvard College.
Reza Mirzaie’s practice focuses on various areas of intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation. He has litigated patent and trade secret disputes involving a variety of technologies, including computer software, hardware, digital signal processing, and elevator dispatch systems. Mr. Mirzaie is a registered patent attorney licensed to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Complementing his litigation expertise, he has worked on numerous prosecution and post-grant matters before the USPTO. Mr. Mirzaie earned his law degree from University of Illinois College of Law, where he was the Associate Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California.
Jean Y. Rhee’s practice focuses on intellectual property, business litigation, and counseling on matters of corporate governance, employment, and white collar crime. Ms. Rhee has represented numerous Fortune 100 and 500 clients, including Shell Oil, Hewlett Packard, Merrill Lynch, and Fidelity. Ms. Rhee received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan law school, where she was an Articles Editor for the Michigan Law Review, Order of the Coif, and a member of the Campbell Moot Court Board.

Russ August & Kabat founding partner, Larry C. Russ, both co-owns American Rag Cie, and provides legal counsel to the pioneering Los Angeles retailer. Recently, American Rag Cie announced that the company signed off on a licensing deal that will bring American Rag Cie to Shanghai. A fleet of more than 30 stores will be opened in the next two years in China.

Russ August & Kabat lawyer Stanley H. Thompson, Jr. and J.V. Abhay of Remfry & Sagar in New Delhi co-authored an article, “Tips for Taking Depositions in India for US Litigation” which was published in IP and Technology Law360. The article includes a short and useful guide highlighting issues an attorney may encounter when the need to travel to India arises during a case and the nuances of the procedure of taking evidence.
