Ryan Brenner is a partner at Russ August & Kabat and the Founding Chair of the firm’s Tax Department.
Ryan advises on a broad spectrum of transactional tax matters across a diverse array of industries (including private equity, technology, financial services, entertainment, and real estate). He serves as tax counsel to clients with respect to domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, investments, financings, securities offerings, licensing, joint ventures, restructurings, and other business and commercial matters.
Ryan takes a practical, business-minded approach to tax planning and advising, working closely with clients to structure and negotiate transactions that minimize tax exposure while achieving their commercial objectives.
Prior to joining Russ August & Kabat, Ryan was a member of the Tax Department at Latham & Watkins LLP, where he represented public and private companies, underwriters and investors on a wide variety of complex matters, including dozens of multi-billion dollar transactions.
